Marion Tseng, PhD, MPVM, BVM
Senior Informaticist
Dr. Marion Tseng is Senior Informaticist with MRAIA. She joined MRAIA in November 2017.
Dr. Tseng is a trained veterinary epidemiologist, and her professional interests include applying epidemiologic methods to facilitate the use of health data to improve public health. She has spearheaded multiple public health epidemiologic and informatics projects, collaborating with CDC, CSTE, state and local health departments, healthcare institutions, clinical laboratories, and academic researchers. The most recent projects she led include coordination of the Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance Task Force (ARSTF) and validating reporting of multi-drug resistant organisms to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
Dr. Tseng completed a one-year epidemiology fellowship focusing on food safety with California Department of Public Health. She then completed a two-year CDC/CSTE/NACCHO Health Systems Integration Program fellowship, stationed in Chicago Department of Public Health, where she focused on public health informatics.
Dr. Tseng received her Ph.D. from Michigan State University. She has a Master of Preventive Veterinary Medicine (MPVM) degree from University of California, Davis, and Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM equivalent) from National Taiwan University in Taiwan.
